A day in the vineyards….
Wednesday was a romantic day - spent visiting several vineyards and having the dinner of our life at Constantia Uitsig. This just happens to be the original place where I was going to propose to Cody (Plan A….:-)
Rained out…
Instead of Table Mountain, we had to adjust our plans today and hang out at Greenmarket Square and Long St. and do some shopping. We had wonderful Portland, OR weather all day! There’s always tomorrow… The first picture below is the view from our apartment window.
Capetown – day at the beach
Most of the day was spent just taking it easy while Cody got some rest and got over her flu. Here is the great beach we found, as well as our apartment and a (quick) cell phone pic I took of driving on the opposite side of the road…
Capetown Day 1
Today was day 1 of Cape Town, spent mostly driving aimlessly to find my way around the city and orient myself (and so I won’t look completely lost when I pick Cody up from the airport tomorrow night….!)
NYC
First stop on the way to Cape Town…..NYC. Will be here for a couple days, then on to 20+ hours of plane time….. will go from 20 degrees to 85 degrees!
